About the Organization
The Thrissur Zoological Park is a new, modern zoo being set up in Puthur, about 12 kilometers from Thrissur city. The project is managed by the Kerala Forest Department with support from KIIFB (Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board). The new park is designed to be a world-class facility with large animal habitats, a veterinary hospital, and other modern amenities.

Educational Qualification & Experience
The qualifications and experience required vary for each post:
- Pump Operator: SSLC or equivalent, plus an ITI/ITC certificate in Motor Mechanics or Electrician trade. You also need at least one year of post-apprenticeship experience as a Pump Operator or Plumber in a government or public sector organization.
- Plumber: SSLC or equivalent, plus an ITI/ITC certificate in Plumber trade. You need at least one year of post-apprenticeship experience as a Plumber in a government or public sector organization.
- Assistant Pump Operator: Minimum SSLC or equivalent qualification. You need at least one year of post-apprenticeship experience in operating pumping plants in a government or public sector organization.
- Junior Assistant (Accounts): A Commerce degree from a recognized university and a Diploma/Certificate in MS Office from a government-approved institution.
- Junior Assistant: A degree in any subject from a recognized university and a Diploma/Certificate in MS Office from a government-approved institution.
Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as of January 1, 2025.
- Pump Operator, Plumber, and Assistant Pump Operator: Not more than 50 years.
- Junior Assistant (Accounts) and Junior Assistant: Not more than 36 years.
Salary Details
The monthly contract salary is different for each post. Refer to the table above for the specific amounts. The contract period for all positions is one year.
