The Kerala State Climate Change Adaptation Mission (KSCCAM) is inviting online applications from qualified and eligible personnel for various posts on a deputation/contract basis. This is a government initiative to help Kerala become more resilient to climate change by reducing its carbon footprint and improving climate governance. KSCCAM Vacancy Details & Eligibility

A total of 4 vacancies have been announced across four different posts. The method of appointment for all posts is on a deputation or contract basis for a minimum period of 3 years, extendable for 3 more years. The cut-off date for all eligibility criteria is September 1, 2025.

Climate Change Assessment Specialist (CCAS)
No of Vacancies: 01
M.Sc in Meteorology/Atmospheric Science/Climate Change (Minimum 65% Aggregate Score). Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in Climate Impact Assessments in Local Government Planning. Essential skill in Math Lab. Rs.75,000/- to 1,00,000/- (Consultant Grade I in Government of India). 45 years.
Carbon Capture & Utilization Specialist (CCUS)
No of Vacancies: 01
M.Tech in Petroleum Engineering/Environmental Engineering (minimum 65% aggregate score). Minimum 2 years' experience in Deep Mining or in Environmental Emissions Management projects in Large Petro-Chemical Firms. Rs.1,25,000/- to 1,75,000/- (Consultant Grade II in Government of India) + 10% p.a. Increment. 50 years.
Carbon Monitoring and Compliance Officer (CMCO)
No of Vacancies: 01
Masters in Environmental Law/Environmental Management (Minimum 65% aggregate score). 2 years of experience in managing projects in the development sector. Rs.1,25,000/- to 1,75,000/- (Consultant Grade II in Government of India) + 10% p.a. Increment. 50 years.
Multi-Tasking Officer (MTO)
No of Vacancies: 01
Graduate (Minimum 65% Aggregate) with Typing Ability in English & Malayalam. 3 years' experience as MTO in the Government sector. Rs.32,550/- (Consolidated, as per Government of Kerala Contract Scheme). 35 years.

Application and Selection Process

Interested applicants must apply online only by filling the prescribed application form on the Centre for Management Development (CMD) website, www.cmd.kerala.gov.in.

Required Documents for Online Submission:

  • Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Passport size photograph (taken within six months, JPEG format, less than 200kB).
  • Signature (JPEG format, less than 50kB).
  • Copies of certificates proving qualification and experience (JPEG or PDF format, each attachment not to exceed 3MB).
  • In the case of current experience, an AFFIDAVIT detailing employer, designation, period, and responsibilities may be uploaded in lieu of a formal certificate.

Applications submitted with incomplete or blurred documents will be rejected.

Selection Methodology:

The selection will be based on an interview of shortlisted candidates. However, KSCCAM/CMD reserves the right to opt for additional selection processes like a written test, group discussion, or skill test if required. Shortlisting will be based on the relevancy of experience, quality of academic achievements, and overall suitability of the candidates. Final scrutiny of all original documents will be conducted before the interview or appointment, and any discrepancy found will result in the rejection of candidature.
